Yesterday I entered the Desford 10k running race and finished in 74th place, there was around 500 entries and I was hoping for a top 50 finish but after a week of running and gym work I didn't have the legs towards the end of the race and had to slow my pace right down. After starting the race at sub 6 minute miles I was confident that I could finish in around 36 minutes but at 9kms I had to stop due to stomach cramp but walked to the line in 38 minutes. I will be back running today and then to David Lloyd Fitness club.
